Here at Hunni’s we’re always on the lookout for new spots to hangout and this time we didn’t have to look very far. Just around the corner from our Langley location you’ll find The Water Shed Arts Cafe – if we’re not at the shop or the office, this is where you’ll find us.
There’s almost too much to love about The Water Shed Arts Cafe. We’re obsessed with the big bright windows, shelves of community books and board games, friendly staff and all that they stand for. Water Shed is a firm believer in the “you are what you eat” mantra and, whenever possible, source their ingredients locally.
Last time we stopped in we munched smashed avocado with olive tapenade and sun-dried tomato on toast, slurped down roasted red pepper coconut soup and sipped on a fair trade latte. It tasted as good as it looked, we promise. (We could easily eat this every day).
Aside from the soul filling food, Water Shed offers an intimate space. The walls are highlighted by art pieces from featured Lower Mainland artists creating a dynamic atmosphere and a sense of surprise – you never know what you’re gunna get! The cafe also regularly hosts musicians, offering a cozy venue to catch some live music.
So next time you’re in Langley and are craving a wholesome bite to eat definitely stop in at The Water Shed Arts Cafe and check out the daily special – we couldn’t recommend it enough!
